Callendar Estate, Falkirk, Scotland lies between Edinburgh and Glasgow in central Scotland, UK. Callendar Estate comprises 6,300 acres of land used for farming, sustainable forestry, recreation and wildlife. Callendar Estate owns land on the south side of Falkirk and around the towns of Denny, Larbert, Laurieston and Whitecross. The provision of accessible pathways through woodland and countryside for Recreation and leisure use runs alongside traditional rural estate activities of food and timber production on Callendar Estate. The latest development is the BeSpoke Cycle Project to upgradeor create 17km of paths and trails including 10km of purpose built graded cycle trails. Estate management includes maintaining and enhancing Callendar Estate for wildlife promoting local biodiversity. Sustainability projects on the estate include the innovative biomass woodfuel project. Projects such as the Falkirk Wheel and the Helix have been fully supported by the Callendar Estate through the provision of land and land management expertise.
