| Youth environmental groups, community associations, Callendar Estate and Falkirk Council are currently involved in the development of a network of paths in south Falkirk woodlands to provide access to recreational amenities for local communities.
The woodlands are managed for timber extraction and the aim is to improve wildlife habitats and increase biodiversity as well as to improve forestry practices.
This will provide attractive outdoor spaces for healthy exercise and recreational activities including horse riding, dog walking and cycling.
The new paths are suitable for Go-chairs, electric buggies, prams & pushchairs, cycles, and will enable the 11,140 folk who live nearby to visit the woodlands. |
