The Helix

The Helix is a 350-hectare transformation project making use of unused land between Falkirk and Grangemouth. A great liesure facility for children, adults and dog walkers.

The new canal extension from the Forth and Clyde Canal down to a new sea loch on the River Carron with a new canal tunnel under the M9 motorway now provides a better connection onto the canal network for boats and towpath users.

The awe inspiring central attraction are the two 30m horse head sculptures known as Kelpies.

A huge element of the Helix is the connections it creates across the Falkirk district including pathways and cycle networks and a range of community facilities such as the lagoon and event space.
